Nowadays’ Belarusian grocery stores have any kind of products both, local and imported ones. The widest range can be found in large department stores.
 
Grocery stores’ operating time is usually from 9 a.m. to 22(10) p.m., many stores in downtowns are open twenty four-seven. One can purchase products on food markets where prices are usually lower than in stores. The markets are open from 9 a.m. to 18(6) p.m. 
 
Bars, Cafes, Restaurants
 
Nowadays’ Minsk has over 500 bars, cafes and restaurants capable to place nearly 25 thousand of visitors. The quality of services rendered by them is rapidly improving. Moreover, the capital has 180 mini-cafes operating there.
 
The restaurants offer rich menus from Italian, French, Japanese, Korean, Bulgarian, Armenian, Indian and many other cuisines. National Belarusian dishes made of potato (draniki, babka), cold soups and such traditionally Slavonic dishes as dumplings, pancakes with curd or meat, hotcakes with jam deserve special tourists’ attention.
 
The Minsk restaurants are, as a rule, located in picturesque areas giving an opportunity to delight the city beautiful views. Some of catering centers offer free of charge fast Internet and complex of entertainments.
 
From 12 a.m. to 17 (5) p.m. almost all the Minsk restaurants offer dinner menu at special prices available on weekdays only. An average cost of a dinner complex (salad, soup, second course) makes from 3 to 6.5 USD.
 
A full evening meal at a restaurant with snacks, salad, hot dishes, desserts and liquors will cost you from 20 to 50 USD. You can pay for your order by credit card in most of top grade restaurants. Waiters’ tips are optional. The cost of dishes depends on a restaurant price category and its location.
